Description
Aster alpinus 'Albus' sports a stunning flower in spring. Dark green foliage showcases snowy white flower petals surrounding a bright yellow center. Like most herbaceous perennials, on a non-irrigated green roof it can be susceptible to severe drought. It will benefit from a deeper soil profile or where the green roof media has been mounded. It will need regular water to become established. This mountain wildflower is very hardy and provides a bright and bold texture on a green roof when in flower. Flowers are a butterfly magnet. North American Native.
