Description
This grass features bright green to golden foliage in a clumping, tufted habit. A taller grass, this species adds good height to a green roof, increasing the opportunity for biodiversity. An excellent choice for locations receiving some shade. Best used in mass plantings where its color and texture are truly eye-catching. Foliage becomes more golden in cooler temperatures, and light tan stalks remain throughout the winter, adding architectural interest. As with most grasses on green roofs, this species will benefit from a deeper soil profile or mounded green roof media, as well as regular watering to help become established. We recommend planning for regular maintenance when using grasses on green roofs. Plan for a three week min. lead time when ordering.
