Description
Though common in the trade, this South African groundcover is far from pedestrian. It is one of the most popular Delospermas because of its reliable, fast-growing foliage and its large shiny purplish-pink flowers which bloom throughout the summer. Flowers attract pollinators when open during the day; the blooms close up at night as with all Delosperma. Winter foliage ranges from yellow-green to an orange toned bronze. An excellent and sought-after species for green roofs, this drought tolerant plant has proven its worth in the industry.
