Dianthus arenarius

Description

This species forms dense clumps of slender grass-like green foliage. In midsummer, it produces fragrant, 1-inch white flowers, with deeply fringed petals. In colder months, the foliage takes on red to purple highlights and persists well into the winter months. Like most perennials, it will benefit from growing in a deeper soil profile,  or, where the green roof media has been mounded. It will need regular water to become established.

Larger orders may require custom growing. Please contact office for lead times.
