Liatris spicata
Description
This eastern North American Native is a great accent plant to add color and height to a green roof. Its purple flower spike is a pollinator magnet and will increase biodiversity.
Like most perennials, this plant will benefit from growing in a deeper soil profile, or, where the green roof media has been mounded. It will need regular water to become established.
