Sedum album f. murale

Description

The most colorful of the albums we carry. As heat resistant and drought tolerant as the species, this variety is reliably hardy and provides interest year round. Dainty, airy white flowers bloom in midsummer as per the straight species. Colourful foliage ranges from green, red, orange, bronze, and dark purple to reddish-purple that deepens in color as winter approaches. Typically tends towards green in the summer months. Foliage persists throughout the winter months. A small but extremely tough plant, it forms a dense carpet of plant material which spreads to cover a good-sized area.  Be aware when planting that the amount of sun and water this plant receives also affects the color of the foliage. This variety is sometimes sold mistakenly as Sedum ‘Coral Carpet’.
