Sedum reflexum ‘Blue Spruce’

Description

Sedum reflexum ‘Blue Spruce’ displays year-round blue-green foliage, with contrasting yellow flowers in midsummer. Needle-like leaves give the plant the appearance of a tiny conifer tree, and¬†foliage takes on tones of purple in the coldest months. Widely used on green roofs in the northern U.S. because of its high level of sun and drought tolerance. This plant needs excellent drainage and may fade in unusually wet seasons. An excellent choice for blue-green color on a green roof.
