Cylindropuntia imbricata

Description

This hardy North American cactus can be used to add height and structure to a green roof. With bright pink or white flowers in late spring, it is a bee magnet. The flowers are followed by large yellow fruit. It loves full sun and a very well-draining media.

Should not be placed within easy reach of the public due to its spiny nature.

This plant is sold as cuttings that can be planted directly into the roof.
